BLS CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (4 - 5 hours)  The BLS for Healthcare Providers course
covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag
mask), foreign-body airway obstruction and automated external defibrillation. This course is for healthcare
providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and
lifeguards who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a Healthcare Provider CPR
course.
TWO YEAR CERTIFICATION

Heartsaver CPR All Ages (3 hours) is a modular course that teaches lay rescuers how to recognize
and treat life threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adult, child
and infant victims.  Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in
adults and breathing difficulties in children.  This program teaches rescue breathing with and without
the use of barrier devices.  This course does not teach the use of AEDs.   New 2005 ECC CPR
Guidelines are covered 30:2 adult, child and infant

Heartsaver CPR for Adult and Child (2 hours) teaches CPR and relief of Foreign Body Airway
Obstruction in the adult and children.

Heartsaver CPR with AED (3 - 4 hours) teaches lay rescuers how to recognize  and treat
life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims
and use of an AED for adult cardiac arrest victims.  Students also learn to recognize the warning signs
of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children.

Heartsaver First Aid & CPR/AED (4 - 6 hours) teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat
adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.  The
course also provides a complete health and safety training solution for first aid, adult CPR and AED.
