Most commonly asked questions about NJ Defensive Driving Courses
You may only take any NJ defensive driving class once every five years for a MVC 2 point reduction
and once every three years for a auto insurance discount. Once you complete any NJ MVC approved
defensive driving course you must stay traffic violation free for 1 full year or the 2 points go back on
your NJ driving record. Your main goal should be to learn how to avoid future NJ traffic tickets which
you will learn from our certified defensive driving instructors in person. You do not need NJ traffic
violation points to take the class. It may be taken just for the New Jersey auto insurance discount.
Online courses are based out of Florida or California that require you to pass a final written
test to pass. They
do not teach you NJ traffic laws plus how to avoid NJ tickets and speed
traps. Our NJ certified instructor
s answer all your NJ traffic law and defensive driving
questions in
during class giving you the knowledge so you avoid future violation points..

Upon completion you will receive a National Safety Council DDC wallet card and a wall certificate with
your NJ drivers license information on them. You submit a copy to your insurance company for the auto
insurance discount.  We submit your driver license though the NJ MVC for your two point reduction.

Each class is submitted to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission with your driver license plus a
$10 processing fee and will show up on your NJ driving record within 30 days of course completion.
